With Confidence = LOVE

 Band Update:

Hailing from the Central West of Sydney. Pop Punk,Four Piece band With Confidence have been busy at work. They have been hard at work writing and recording for their Debut E.P, The First Day In The Studio was January 28th. "No exact date yet on the release but we should Expect a March-April release if all runs smoothly!" Said the boys themselves on their Facebook Page.  But I know how to get you excited for this release.

1. They have played with 5 Seconds of Summer and are too sexy to the camera thus the blur of perfection. Their color

co-ordinance is amazing I don't Know if that was planned or not but who doesn't like guys in red.

2.They sound Amazing Covering Songs just like Call Me Maybe from Carly Rae Jepson In a foam pit with a skateboard as a drum. How talented is that!?!

Watch out for Justin Bieber in the video making a little Cameo.
Who agrees?

3. they released a Demo of an original song titled "back then". And holy shit Can we have more of that?!
they are really good!.but you can download it here: https://soundcloud.com/withconfidence/back-then-demo

Take Us To Vegas

What is the result of grabbing five friends from the sunshine coast putting them into a band together, Blending equal measure of hope, despair, aggression and passion into their music. The end result Take Us To Vegas who have music that shines  with sincerity and conviction, and as a result has drawn a loyal fan base.

The band released their first Album ‘The Road Ahead’ in March 2011 and single 'Apparently It's Frowned Upon' in October 2012 with both being very well received. They are keen to release new tracks and get back out into the concert mode. 2013 is big for Take Us To Vegas. I caught them for a quick chat with Bassist Nicholas.

Where are you from?
Take Us To Vegas is from the Sunshine Coast In Queensland, Australia.

What is your favorite song of your own,What's the inspiration behind it?
Definitely one of our new songs, It'll be on the new E.P that we'll be recording hopefully next month. It's called Bloodwolves, and basically it is about when someone,or something, pushes you to the point where you become the most evil or vengeful that you could ever be. Getting to the stage where you'd surpass your own morality because whatever you feel is so intense. When you're just out for the blood because you feel as though nothing else will satiate your rage.

But then in the same breath it's recognizing that living your life in that manner is a death sentence in it's own regard. Living under a perpetual storm cloud will only serve to separate you from the people who care about you, and eventually from your own emotion. I guess in a lot of ways it's a testament to how dissatisfied a lot of our generation feels towards the current climate of western society. For example, the lack of separation between  church and state, or the fact of oppression towards certain minorities still exists in the 21st century. Further than tat, it's also about the betrayal between individuals. And all of this kind of perpetuates the deterioration of a healthy society.

How do you describe your music to people who haven't heard of you?
I just say it's rock 'n' roll and let them judge for themselves.

If a song would play when you walked into the room,What would it be?
Dreamweaver by Gary Wright.

New Year, New You, What are some goals you aspire to reach this year?

Definitely get this E.P out and then tour it all year. We got to make a lot of new friends last year, and we hope to continue that. We just want to get out and play music.

If you had to save the world, How would you do it?
Johnny would use his incredible strength and cockiness.
Ryan would use his kindness.
Lee would document photographic evidence in a form of a selfie.
Alex would try to calm people via the use of certain botanical contraband that I won't Name.
I (Nick) would just get really shitty with everyone and nag..
With Our Combined Powers we would definitely be a total hindrance to the salvation of the planet.

We Suck.

In Three words,How would you describe your live shows?
Fun. Loud. Buttery.

How did you all meet?, What influenced you to start a band together?
We all knew each other from being in different bands in a small local scene in South- East Queensland around six years ago. At some point Liam started poaching the other guys from their current projects to be in his band "Wingspan". Ryan ended up taking over from Liam on vocals because Liam used to get too sick all the time. Then they ended up calling it quits on Wingspan and started 'Take Us To Vegas', I came into the band to play bass around June of 2012 after a band i was singing for called 'Traditions' broke up.

What Genre, Would you classify yourself as?
we don't really. We take influence from a heap of bands from multitude of genres but we don't really have an interest in categorizing or quantifying ourselves or our music.
How do you prepare before the concert?
Generally there will be rehearsals in the days leading up to the shows. A lot of promoting the shows ourselves. Then on show day we pack the van, drive, load into the venue, sound check, mingle with other bands and audience, when the band before us goes on we'll stare to prepare our gear and warm up and then hit the stage.

Do you think that "Pop Punk Is Still Alive"?
I don't really Understand what that means, Or what " defend Pop Punk' is all about. And I don't really care.

I think most of the genre now is insincere 'faux' Pop Punk. Metalcore had it's day and now this is the hype thing.

But in saying that I do think it's cool that bands like our boys in Heroes for Hire who have been working super hard for years are getting recognition and not playing second fiddle to international bands all the time. That definitely makes me happy.

What are the names and nicknames of everyone in the band?

We just call each other derogatory names that I can't repeat here for fear of the wrath of our management.

Thank You To The Take Us To Vegas Boys for Participating in the interview, Can't wait to Party in Sydney with you boys soon!.
