Home Town

Hometown are a new pop rock band from the south east suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
Their EP has just released titled 'Never Have I Ever' EP,
With catchy music and Awesome Sound has these boys on the must watch list of music..
I had a chance to talk to them about everything cool ;).

Congrats on 'Never Have I Ever' EP,What is your favourite track and insperation behind it?
Thanks! One of our favourite tracks would be Light It Up. It’s a story about the memories a murdered boy has of the house he and his friends grew up in and hung out at (as well as murdered in). Somewhat brutal but it does have an inspirational twist to it.

Where are you from?
Melbourne – although it doesn’t look like it.

How was playing with Cartel?

It was so much fun! We've grown up listening to them and playing cartel covers, so it was crazy to see them up close and actually talk to them.

What are some other favourite bands and musical influences?
Fall Out Boy, Mayday Parade, Lost Prophets,Kids In Glass Houses, We Are The In Crowd, The Cab are a few fave bands.

Are there any upcoming shows Fans should be excited for? We've got a bunch of shows coming up including Rocktober w/Closure in Moscow, Epic youth Fest w/New Empire, Springfest and Bring On The Summer festival in Adelaide which will be heaps of fun!

How has the music developed from when you first started?

Our music has changed a lot as new members have joined. Our music is more dynamic and catchy than when we first began.

What do you like to do when your not making music?

Eat dumplings and pick on Julian.

In three words, how would you describe your live shows?

Energetic. Fun. Entertaining.

What’s one thing myself and the readers wouldn’t know about Hometown?
We can dance. Josh is also straight...

your merch store has just started up, what are some goodies fans can save up for?

Yeah we've finally put up our merch store with new T designs, wrist bands, necklaces and CD's. Check our Facebook for deets

How did all you meet and what influenced you to start a band together?

We met through various band members and previous members friends of friends. Plus Tim is from the internet.

you have played support to so many talented artists how was this experience for you?

It's always so much fun to play alongside bands that we are fans of. We always get a buzz sharing the stage with great local and international bands and it is one of the best parts of what we do.

one word to describe this experience so far?
