 The Band consists of:
Joey Cirillo - Lead Vocals
Luke Mann - Guitars/Vocals
Dylan Giannakopoulos - Guitars/Vocals
Sam Berry- Bass
Roddy Martinez - Drums

Emerging from the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Way With Words are a catchy, guitar-driven, melodic five-piece who have been refining their craft for the last year.
Recording their debut EP in Los Angeles, Way With Words were fortunate enough to be flown over to the USA after winning the inaugural Red Bull Bedroom Jam competition to record their debut EP, After much Anticipation we got the opportunity to talk to these lads.

How was playing the acoustic afternoon?
We had a great time playing. We have found that there is a more chilled atmosphere at acoustic shows which is a nice change sometimes

Describe how it was playing with Cartel?
We are so grateful to be able to share the stage with such an incredible band. They are one of the best live bands I have seen.

What is your favourite song of the "Better Off Friends” EP?
If I was going to have to put it down to one, I would have to say probably either Next Time or Transparent. But Lost & Found is becoming one of my favorites to play live.

What is the insperation for that song?
Our biggest inspiration for those songs and majority of our other songs comes from our bassist Sam. Joey has such a big man crush on him, that he can’t resist writing songs about him.

So i heard you have a new drummer Roddy Martinez How did you find him?
A good friend of mine, Marty from Daylight Hours, went to school with him and got him to get in contact with us and then we went from there.

The road to success started fueled by Red Bull’s Bedroom Jam contest,How did this help you start off?
Red Bull have helped us out so much by giving us the opportunity of a life time to record in the Red Bull Studios is LA which lead to the release of Better off Friends. The people at Red Bull are just the best and if we ever need help with anything, they are always there to offer suggestions and lend a hand where they can. We are forever grateful for what they have done for us.

What do you enjoy doing the most when you are not performing or working on your music?
When I am not playing music or doing something musically related, my next biggest passion is making toasted sandwiches. Toasted ham and cheese with peri peri sauce is the shit!

Are there any plans for new music or Are you currently writing?
While we wait for Joey to get better and finish his VCE, we intend on doing lots of writing again but I can’t say to much more than that. You will just have to wait and see.

What are some goals you would love to achieve as a band?
I personally would love to be able to play a massive festival like Soundwave or Big Day Out, or be able to tour another country like England or America.

Do you have a message for fans?
I just want to say a big thanks to anyone that has ever taken the time to come to our show or listened to our music. You guys mean the world to us, and we wouldn’t be here without your support!
